10 Seater Urbania Van on Rent in Delhi
If you are searching for a 10 seater Urbania, you almost certainly have a group of ten people and want one vehicle for them. The straight answer, before anything else: our fleet runs 9, 12, 13, 16 and 17 seater Urbania vans, and for a group of exactly ten the vehicle you want is the 12 seater.
We would rather tell you that on the first line than take a booking for a "10 seater" and send a vehicle that does not match what you pictured. A 9 seater will not seat ten people. The 12 seater will, at Rs 35 per km - the same rate as the 9 seater - with two spare seats for luggage and space to spread out.
Why the 12 Seater Is the Right Booking
Seat counts on every Urbania variant exclude the driver, so a 9 seater carries nine passengers, not ten. That single seat is why groups of ten end up confused, and why some operators will quietly book you into a nine-seater and hope one person sits in front.
- It costs the same per kilometre. The 9 and 12 seater are both Rs 35 per km, so the larger van is not a more expensive booking - it is the same price with more room.
- Two spare seats. With ten passengers in a twelve seater, the remaining seats absorb bags, coats and the things that accumulate on a long day.
- Nobody rides in front by default. On a family trip that seat is usually the one nobody wants, next to the driver for eight hours.
- Room for a late addition. Groups of ten have a habit of becoming groups of eleven the week before travel.
Full specification and pricing is on the 12 seater Urbania on rent page.
Urbania Seating Options in Full
Every variant we run, with the passenger count excluding the driver, so you can place a group of any size accurately.
| Variant | Passengers | Best for a group of | Per km |
|---|---|---|---|
| 9 Seater Luxury Urbania | 9 | Up to 8 with luggage | Rs 35 |
| 12 Seater Luxury Urbania | 12 | 9 to 11 - the choice for a group of 10 | Rs 35 |
| 13 Seater Luxury Urbania | 13 | 11 to 12 with heavy luggage | Rs 35 |

| 9 Seater Maharaja Urbania | 9 | Up to 8, premium comfort | Rs 50 |
The general rule: book one size above your headcount if luggage is heavy or the journey is long. It is the advice groups most often skip and most often wish they had taken.
What You Get in the Vehicle
Whichever variant seats your group, the cabin specification is broadly the same across the Luxury range.
- Push-back seats with proper recline and individual armrests.
- Individual AC vents for every row, so the back of the van is not warmer than the front.
- High roof - most passengers can stand in the aisle, and elderly travellers can board without help.
- Separate luggage boot, so bags are not in the aisle or on the roof.
- USB charging points and a music system.
- Large windows - which matters more than it sounds on a hill route.

Common Trips for a Group of Ten
Family day out or city sightseeing
The 80 km / 8 hour package, with the van waiting between stops rather than being re-hailed at each one.
Airport transfer
Ten passengers with check-in luggage is precisely the case where a separate boot stops being a nicety. One van replaces three cabs.
Same-day Agra or Haridwar
The 250 km / 16 hour package. See Delhi to Agra by Urbania van for the timings that make that day work.
Multi-day tour
Per-km plan with a 250 km daily minimum - the Golden Triangle and Char Dham are the two most common.
Wedding and event shuttles
Per day with the driver on standby for the full function.
What Groups of Ten Usually Forget
A group of ten sits at an awkward point. It is too many for a single large car, too few to justify a 17 seater, and right on the boundary where a nine-seat vehicle looks like it might just work. These are the four things that catch people out.
The front passenger seat is not a real seat
On paper it is. In practice, on a nine-hour trip, nobody wants to spend the day next to the driver away from the rest of the group - and on a family trip that seat usually ends up going to whoever objects least, which is rarely fair.
Ten people means ten sets of luggage
Groups estimate passengers accurately and luggage badly. Ten suitcases, ten cabin bags, plus coats, water, food and whatever gets bought along the way. The two spare seats in a 12 seater absorb exactly this.
Groups of ten grow
More often than any other size, a group of ten becomes eleven or twelve in the fortnight before travel - a cousin joins, a colleague is added. Booking a 12 seater from the start means that costs you nothing rather than forcing a scramble for a second vehicle.
Children still need seats
For a commercial vehicle booking, a child occupies a seat. A group of "eight adults and two children" is a group of ten, and should be booked as one.
None of this is an upsell - the 9, 12 and 13 seater are all the same Rs 35 per km. Booking the larger van costs the same and removes every one of these problems.
